BUILD IT specializes in transforming ambitious veterinary care visions into highly functional, expertly crafted spaces. As a premier general contractor for veterinary clinic construction, our collaboration with Era Vet in Calgary showcases our commitment to building state-of-the-art animal healthcare facilities that prioritize advanced veterinary care alongside a welcoming, stress-free environment.

The vision for the new Era Vet Clinic in Southwest Calgary was to create a modern, open-concept, veterinarian-founded practice that actively steps away from the cold, sterile aesthetic of traditional animal hospitals. To achieve this, BUILD IT partnered closely with the clinic’s founders and the veterinary design team. We constructed a warm, heavily branded reception and owner-facing area utilizing specialized, seamless infection-control finishes. These materials masquerade as high-end residential textures, delivering an “anti-clinical” aesthetic without compromising the rigorous sanitation standards required in an animal hospital.

Beyond the inviting front-of-house aesthetics, the architectural design demanded specialized infrastructure purpose-built for veterinary workflows. Because Era Vet is a Fear Free® and Cat Friendly® certified practice, the construction project required meticulously separated zones to minimize auditory and visual stress for animal patients. BUILD IT brought these precise clinical layouts to life, executing the exact build-out of custom clinical treatment areas, standardized exam rooms with veterinary-specific casework, and robust surgical suites designed to eliminate bottlenecks during urgent care scenarios.

As a leading general contractor in Calgary, BUILD IT leveraged our specialized expertise in veterinary clinic construction to manage the project from detailed pre-construction coordination to precise final execution. From anticipating the unique daily workflow needs of veterinarians and veterinary technicians to installing custom millwork and acoustic dampening, our team ensured a seamless project delivery.
