1. About these terms
These terms apply to anyone who uses buildit.ca (the “site”). The site is run by build it by design (2014) inc.(“BUILD IT,” “we,” “us”), based in Ontario, Canada.
By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
These terms cover the website only. Any construction work we do for you is governed by a separate signed contract, and that contract wins if it conflicts with anything here.

2. What’s on the site is general information
The site shows who we are, the kinds of projects we build, and examples of past work. It’s there to help you get to know us.
Nothing on the site is:
• a quote, bid, price, or schedule for your project
• an offer to do work, or a promise of any result
• design, engineering, code, permit, or other professional advice
Every project is different. Scope, cost, timelines, and requirements are only set once we’ve reviewed your project and both sides have signed a written agreement.
Project descriptions and photos show work as it was at the time. Details may be simplified, and some client names or features may be left out for confidentiality.

3. Our content
The text, photos, logos, graphics, and layout on the site belong to BUILD IT or to people who’ve given us permission to use them. That includes project photos, which may also belong to our clients, designers, or photographers.
You can view the site and share links to it. You can’t copy, republish, sell, or edit our content, or use our name or logo, without our written permission. If you’d like to use something, email us and ask.

4. Using the site
Please use the site lawfully and fairly. Don’t:
• try to break, overload, or get around the site’s security
• scrape or copy the site in bulk with bots or automated tools
• upload or send anything harmful, such as viruses or malicious code
• pretend to be BUILD IT or anyone connected to us
We can limit or block access to the site for anyone who breaks these terms.

5. Links to other sites
The site may link to other websites, like social media, suppliers, or design partners. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content or how they handle your information. Their own terms and privacy policies apply.

6. No guarantees, and limits on our responsibility
We work to keep the site accurate and running, but we provide it “as is.” We don’t promise it will always be available, error-free, or up to date.
To the extent the law allows, BUILD IT isn’t responsible for any loss or damage that comes from using the site, relying on its content, or not being able to access it.
Some laws don’t allow certain limits on responsibility. If those laws apply to you, some of this section may not apply, and you keep the rights the law gives you.

7. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the site, including through cookies or analytics, and how we use it.
Mobile information will not be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties

8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top. If you keep using the site after an update, the new terms apply.

9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute about the site will be handled in the courts of Ontario.

You agree to receive information messages (appointment reminders, account notifications, etc.) from BUILD IT BY DESIGN (2014) INC.. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. For help, reply HELP or email us at [email protected]. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP.”
