Located in the heart of Toronto’s vibrant King Street West district, Public Gardens is a striking two-story dining and nightlife venue that blends natural elegance with a bold urban aesthetic. BUILD IT was proud to lead the construction of this unique concept, transforming a raw space into a botanical-inspired escape designed to engage all the senses.

From the outset, this project demanded a thoughtful balance between high-end hospitality functionality and an immersive, nature-infused design concept. The final space is a stunning showcase of detailed craftsmanship — featuring a custom-designed iron staircase, rich leather and brass accents, and natural finishes that create a warm yet edgy ambiance. A beautifully designed outdoor patio further enhances the guest experience, providing a versatile area for al fresco dining and vibrant nightlife.

Working in downtown Toronto presented a number of logistical challenges, including tight site access and coordination with nearby businesses. However, BUILD IT’s experienced team expertly navigated every phase of the project — from demolition and structural work to mechanical installation and custom finishes — ensuring all milestones were met on time and within budget.

The result is a captivating, operationally sound venue that sets a new standard in Toronto’s hospitality scene. Public Gardens is more than just a bar or restaurant — it’s a destination.
