BUILD IT proudly partnered with Hello Nori to bring their second Ontario location to life, located in the heart of downtown Toronto on York Street. Known for their unique hand roll bar experience and minimalist Japanese aesthetic, Hello Nori entrusted BUILD IT to deliver a space that reflects their brand’s sleek and modern identity.

This project required a detailed and strategic approach, balancing high-end design with the operational needs of a premium dining concept. Our team worked closely with Hello Nori and their design consultants to bring their vision to reality — from the signature central bar layout to the carefully curated natural finishes and lighting that define the space.

Key Features:

Complete interior construction and fit-out of the unit, transforming the shell into a fully operational, high-performance restaurant.

Custom millwork elements, including the central sushi bar where chefs prepare hand rolls in front of guests.

Specialized coordination for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems tailored to the needs of a sushi-focused kitchen.

Finishes and materials sourced to match Hello Nori’s brand standards, with an emphasis on natural woods, clean lines, and a calming ambiance.

Located in a bustling downtown corridor, the York Street location posed logistical challenges including tight site access and coordination with neighboring businesses. BUILD IT’s experience working in urban centers allowed us to navigate these constraints with efficiency and minimal disruption.
