BUILD IT was selected as the General Contractor for the build-out of the flagship Align Custom Fit Footwear & Footcare clinic and retail boutique in the prestigious First Canadian Place in Downtown Toronto.
This project was a meticulous execution of a highly ambitious retail concept: the fusion of a state-of-the-art medical footcare clinic, a luxury spa environment, and a high-end designer footwear boutique. Situated within the high-traffic, underground PATH network, the location demanded expert site logistics management and precision scheduling.
The core of the Align brand is a commitment to a premium, integrated experience, which was realized through an exceptional level of interior finishing. This was fundamentally a high-end project where the fit and finish needed to reflect the brand’s position as a leader in style-conscious, medical-grade wellness.
Our scope of work centered on executing the sophisticated design intent, utilizing high-end interior finishes throughout the 2,500-square-foot space. We installed Bespoke Architectural Millwork for the retail display areas, reception desk, and consultation zones, featuring specialty veneers and detailed craftsmanship to create a welcoming, non-clinical aesthetic. We managed Specialized Flooring and Lighting, requiring the careful installation of premium flooring materials and complex lighting design to transition seamlessly between the open retail showroom, the tranquil private treatment suites, and the high-tech movement laboratory. We ensured Clinical Integration, including the flawless integration of medical infrastructure (plumbing, electrical, and HVAC) within the luxury environment, particularly in the private treatment rooms designed for medical-grade pedicures and specialized assessments.
The successful delivery of the Align Custom Fit flagship showcases BUILD IT’s ability to manage complex, demanding retail construction projects in challenging downtown environments, resulting in a flawless space that perfectly supports the client’s innovative, luxury brand experience.
